Danish Cooperation for Environment and Development (DANCED)

Danish Cooperation for Environment and Development (DANCED) was created in 1994 as part of the Denmark’s initiatives of environmental assistance to developing countries. DANCED is part of the Danish Environmental Protection Agency within the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy. DANCED implements projects aimed at promoting environmentally sustainable employment and conservation of natural resources; sustainable use of energy; preventing/limiting air-, water, and soil pollution. DANCED also supports local capacity building in environmental administration and institutions, the improvement of environmental investments and raising awareness on environmental issues (problems and solutions). DANCED has been involved in projects in Africa and South-East Asia.
